"Art is not what you see, it is what you make others see.

Karen Butts - Portrait Artist
Creating art has always been in my blood. It all started with my first box of crayons. I am happiest when working with color and design. Though out my life I satisfied my creative urge by sewing, quilting, making pottery, painting, coiling, scrap booking, weaving, etc. It wasn't until I turned 55 and my three children were out of college. My love of photography exploded when I attended The Texas School of Photography in 2004. I came away so excited, that I left my day job to become a photographer. I have been consumed with learning about my new art form and continue to education myself through PPGH (the Professional Photographers Guild of Houston,) The Texas School of Photography, and classes offer through PPA (Professional Photographers of America.)
All forms of art inspire me. I love visiting art galleries and enjoy collecting ideas on Pinterest. Sometimes I cannot sleep at night because my head is spinning with ideas. My goal is to create a beautiful art piece for my clients of their loved one. I would be nonored to provide this service for you.
