ABOUT THE ARTIST
Three cups of decaf coffee with hazelnut creamer help me start my day. I love Mrs. Renfro's Sweet and Hot Jalapenos Peppers. Potato chips on ice cream makes my taste buds sing! Taking walks in nature and gathering leaves and sticks or capturing something in nature with my camera calms my soul. I binge-watch Flee Market Flip and enjoy all of the HGTV home improvement shows. Up-cycling resonates with me, maybe because I was very close to my grandmother who lived during the great depression. She taught me well. Often, my desire to create leads me to my Sewing/Craft room to create newborn props such as basket "stuffers" or headbands or tutus and dresses for little girls. Sometimes my mind won't let me sleep at night because my creative juices are spinning around in my head. This is all part of the creative process.
On my journey to earn my Craftsman Degree, I taught (and continue to teach) workshops to other photographers on subjects such as "Fine Art on a Shoestring Budget," "The Marriage of Color and Composition,""Taking Your Images Up a Notch" and "Discovering Who You Are as an Artist."

Professional Photographers of America Recognition
- Became a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) in 2013
- Received PPA's MASTER'S Degree in 2015
